Our Process

We walk you through every stage — no surprises, no handoffs.

From First Call to Move-In

  1. 01

    First Conversation

    • Meet Jason or Bryan at your property — or by phone if you're still choosing a lot
    • Discuss your vision, style preferences, and rough timeline
    • We assess the site, answer your questions, and let you know what we're seeing
  2. 02

    Design & Planning

    • Choose or refine your floor plan — bring plans you've found, or we'll help you find a design that fits the lot
    • Select your construction type: full log, hybrid, or stick-framed
    • A deposit secures preliminary mill plans (for log homes, these come back in roughly two weeks)
  3. 03

    Contract & Pricing

    • Detailed estimate based on your plans, selections, and lot conditions
    • Allowances for flooring, kitchen, appliances, and lighting — reviewed together before signing
    • Clear milestone-based payment schedule so you know what's due and when
  4. 04

    Construction

    • Typical completion: 3–6 months depending on design complexity
    • Weekly updates throughout the build — you're never in the dark
    • After the roof stage, you'll meet with your electrician and kitchen designer to lock in final selections
  5. 05

    Move-In

    • Final walkthrough with Jason or Bryan — every item on the punch list closed before handoff
    • Keys handed over, questions answered

"After we finish your home, the only way we want to come back to your house is as a guest."

    — Bryan McIntyre, Co-Owner

What we'll need from you

  • Your lot — or a plan to find one. (We can point you to Keenan Shanholtz at 4wvland.com if you're still looking.)
  • A rough idea of size and style — exact plans come later
  • Your timeline and a general budget range
